The Day

9.45am Medieval Hall:
Arrive, tea and coffee.
Introduction to the day's activities and safety briefing.

10.00am Medieval Hall:
Meet the knights/instructors, background and history of jousting, introduction to equipment, dress in medieval team tabards with own coat of arms, belts, gloves, boots and chainmail head coifes.

10.30am Jousting Arena:
Into the jousting arena - layout, introduction to exercises, objectives, equipment used, knight demonstration by instructors.

11.00am Jousting Arena:
Meet and greet your steed, riding assessment, into the jousting arena for jousting workshops - no riding needed!

1.00pm lunch break - Hog Roast, Country Pub or Sandwiches (extra cost)

2.00pm Jousting Arena:
Choreographed sword-fighting and weapons workshop.

3.00pm Jousting Arena:
Grand Gauntlet Challenge Tournament, in knight's attire upon your trusty steed fighting for points in your teams

4.00pm Jousting Arena:
Try your hand in a "Joust" against the Black Knight.

4.30pm Medieval Hall:
Prizes, Certificates and Knighting Ceremony
